2nd December 2017 - Saturday 18:00

Whitechapel, Carnifex, Rings of Saturn, and Entheos are bringing their signature sounds to the Summit Music Hall!

Whitechapel was formed in Knoxville (Tennessee) in 2006 by vocalist Phil Bozeman, rhythm guitarist Brandon Cagle, and lead guitarist Ben Savage. They recruited guitarist Alex Wade, bassist Gabe Crisp, and drummer Derek Martin to complete the line up and named themselves after the Whitechapel district in East London (in reference to the series of murders committed by Jack the Ripper). The band’s been through a few line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Phil (vocals), Ben (lead guitar and vocals), Alex (rhythm guitar), Gabe (bass guitar), Zach Householder (rhythm and lead guitar), and Ben Harclerode (drums). Their music falls under the genre of deathcore; an extreme metal blend of death metal, metalcore, and sometimes hardcore punk elements. They cite Cannibal Corpse, Meshuggah, Slipknot, Dying Fetus, Bloodbath, Pantera, Metallica, Slayer, Suffocation, Deftones, Despised Icon, Behemoth, Nile, Gojira, Vader, Necrophagist, Carcass, Aborted, Amon Amarth, Agnostic Front, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Entombed, and Cattle Decapitation as their main influences. They’ve had a stellar career with 6 studio albums, 1 extended play, 1 live album, 11 music videos, and 3 demo tapes. They’ve also toured with renowned bands like Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Job for a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, and The Black Dahlia Murder.

Don’t miss your chance to see the artists add a unique touch to deathcore!
