Turnover & Elvis Depressedly

4th November 2017 - Saturday 19:00

Sensational indie rock bands Turnover and Elvis Depressedly are bringing their signature sounds to the Summit Music Hall!

Turnover was formed in Virginia Beach (Virginia) in 2009 by Austin Getz (vocals and guitar), Casey Getz (drums), Danny Dempsey (bass guitar), and Eric Soucy (lead guitar).Their musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), dream pop (a subgenre of alternative rock and neo psychedelia characterized by breathy vocals, introspective or existential lyrics, and a focus on textures and moods rather than propulsive rock riffs), and emo pop (a genre that retains emo’s confessional lyrics and cathartic energy, while embracing more pop oriented influences to create sound that blends youthful angst with slick production and mainstream appeal). They’ve had a stellar career with 3 studio albums, 6 extended plays, 3 singles, 1 music video, and they've toured with many renowned bands such as I Am the Avalanche, The Swellers, Diamond Youth, Major League, Nai Harvest, Light Years, Malfunction, and Moose Blood. Their music has also been featured on the compilation album Off the Board: A Studio 4 Family Compilation. The band currently consists of Austin, Casey, and Danny.

Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to indie rock, emo pop, and dream pop music!
