Trivium & Arch Enemy

17th November 2017 - Friday 17:30

Sensational melodic death metal artists Trivium and Arch Enemy are bringing their signature sounds to the Summit Music Hall!

The band was formed in Orlando in 1999 and currently consists of Matt Heafy (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Corey Beaulieu (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), Paolo Gregoletto (bass, clean backing vocals), and Paul Wandtke (drums, percussion). The band’s name refers to a 3-way intersection in Latin and signifies their musical style; a blend of metalcore, melodic death metal and thrash metal. Matt has said that “without Iron Maiden, Trivium surely wouldn't exist” and the band’s been influenced by many other acts such as Opeth, Nevermore, Dream Theater, Emperor, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Machine Head, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Megadeth, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Slayer, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Testament, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Killswitch Engage, Skid Row, Angra, Underoath, Martyr, and Death. The band’s musical style is distinguished by soaring riffs, dual guitar harmonies, double bass drum patterns along with occasional blast beats and breakdowns. They’ve received many accolades including a Kerrang! Magazine award for Album of the Year, a Kerrang! Award for Best International Newcomer, and a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award. They’ve also been nominated for 3 more Kerrang! Awards and 3 World Music Awards. They’ve had a stellar career with 7 studio albums, 18 music videos, 1 EP, and 14 singles.
