Todd Anthony Shaw was born in South Central Los Angeles in 1966 and is a rapper, record producer, and actor. His musical style is best described as West coast rap; a subgenre of hip hop music - encompassing any artists or music that originates in the West Coast region of the United States – that dominated the hip hop scene in the mid 1990s, making gangsta rap into a popular phenomenon and establishing Dr. Dre as one of the most influential figures in rap history. He's had a stellar career with 16 studio albums (3 of which have been certified Gold in the US, 5 went Platinum, and 1 double Platinum), 4 compilation albums (1 of which was certified Gold in the US), 24 singles, 2 split albums (with E-40), and he's collaborated with 8Ball and MJG, Jay-Z, Jermaine Dupri, Sean Combs, E-40, Daz Dillinger, Lil Jon, Soopafly, Scarface, B-Legit, Twista, Lil Jon, Lil Kim, T.I, Wiz Khalifa, Lady Gaga, and many other renowned artists. He's also one of the very few rappers who've worked with both Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. His latest album (The Pimp Tape) comes out on 25th August 2017.
