The Devil Wears Prada, Ohio’s sensational Christian metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Summit Music Hall!
The Devil Wears Prada was formed in Dayton (Ohio) in 1992 by Jeremy DePoyster, Andy Trick, James Baney, and Daniel Williams. The band’s been through many line up changes since then and it currently consists of Jeremy (rhythm guitar and vocals), Mike Hranica (lead vocals and additional guitars), Andy (bass guitar), Kyle Sipress (lead guitar and backing vocals), and session/touring musicians Jonathan Gering (keyboards and synthesizers) and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums). Their musical style is best described as a blend of Christian metal (a form of heavy metal music usually defined by lyrics and performers dedicated to Christianity) and metalcore (a broad fusion genre of extreme metal and hardcore punk, noted for its use of breakdowns, which are slow, intense passages that are conducive to moshing). They’ve had a stellar career with 5 studio albums, 1 live album, 10 music videos, 2 extended plays, 17 singles, and 1 demo tape. Their music has also been featured on the compilation albums Punk Goes Crunk and Warped Tour (volumes 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2014). They’ve also toured with many renowned bands such as Slayer, Slipknot, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Dark Tranquillity, A Day to Remember, Sky Eats Airplane, and Emarosa.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to Christian metal music!
