The Bloody Beetroots

2nd November 2017 - Thursday 19:00

The Bloody Beetroots, Italy's sensational electronic music artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Summit Music Hall!

The Bloody Beetroots started off as the solo project of producer, musician, DJ, photographer, actor Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (birth name Rob Rifo). Born in Bassano del Grappa (Italy) in 1977, he began his musical journey by studying classical music and went on to make a name for himself in music production. In 2008, he added Tommy Tea to the Bloody Beatroots and they toured the US with renowned electro house musician, record producer, DJ, and music executive Steve Aioki. Their musical style is best described as a blend of electro house (a form of house music characterized by a prominent bassline and/or kick drum and a tempo between 125 and 135 beats per minute), dance punk (a genre - closely associated with the post punk and new wave movements - that emerged in the late 1970s and is characterized by punk music with a more rhythmic tempo which made it easier to dance to), drum and bass (a subgenre of electronic music often characterized by fast breakbeats - typically between 160–180 beats per minute - with heavy bass and sub bass lines, sampled sources, and synthesizers), and dubstep. The project currently consists of Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (piano/effects, guitars, vocals), Battle (synthesizers, bass guitar), and Edward Grinch (drums).

Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to electronic music!
